Story
Huowin Pojat was born from an idea in 2021, when a Finnish medieval market had no wooden toys for children available for sale. After months of product development, the three brothers behind Huowin Pojat were ready to sell their products at the Hansa Market. Huowi means a medieval Finnish soldier and Pojat means Boys.
The product range initially consisted of heraldic shields and swords, but gradually expanded to include lightweight swords, battle axes, daggers, knives, war hammers, and axes.
In 2026, the boys' idea gained support through the 4H Enterprise Program, including financial support, education and mentoring.
The word Huowi means soldier.
Our goal is to bring a piece of the atmosphere of past centuries into the modern day through products, custom orders, and memorable experiences, while also helping to reduce children's screen time in a meaningful way.
